Fire door hinges
Building Regulations stipulate a minimum melting point of 500°C for fire door
hinges. DEVON architectural hinges are made from stainless Steel which has a
melting point of 1530° C and are all suitable for use on fire doors.
When hanging a fire door, all the hinges must be bedded on suitable intumescent
material or intumescent mastic on both the door and frame.
Intumescent hinge packs are available upon request.
